While possible to operate without a car (there is a free ski shuttle
servicing Park City resorts and main street that is a 5 minute walk from
our unit), we would recommend renting a car. The unit includes a
designated space in the heated underground parking (with a locked
storage closet right in front of the parking place to store all ski
equipment) as well as unlimited spots just outside the building.
Great restaurants, supermarkets (Whole Foods/Wild Oats, Albertsons,
Smiths) are less than 5 minutes by car or shuttle from our complex. The
Tanger Outlet shopping mall is walkable from our unit with stores like:
J. Crew, Coach, Gap, Banana Republic & Polo Ralph Lauren.
A covered outdoor hot tub is just steps from our building. If you like
to work out, there is a fitness center in the Club house - just a few
more steps from our building. There is also an outdoor pool heated
year-round and hot tub adjacent to the Club house.
One of the great features of our condo is a separate entertainment area
in the loft which is separate from the living area. The loft is a great
escape area for the kids and has its own entertainment center including a
video game system. We also have a portable pack ‘n play for babies or
toddlers in the unit.
In our experience, the best place to get discounted lift tickets to all
Park City/Cottonwood Canyon resorts (and reasonable ski/snowboard rental
rates) is at the REI Salt Lake. Given its location just off I-80, it is
only a 15-20 minute drive from the condo and the store can be reached
at (801) 486-2100 to answer any questions.
